The home is a design lover’s dream—a place where art and life beautifully collide. Known as the father of American studio furniture, Esherick spent decades shaping his home and studio, and it shows in every curve and corner.

The bold pops of color throughout the house really steal the show. Janelle says, “My favorite detail of the house is the pops of color against the natural materials. The cobalt, green, and red windows. Even the sunny yellow chinking between the logs adds a playful twist.” It’s a reminder that even in a space dominated by natural materials, a little color can make a big statement. “I imagine that our All Roads home goods are the pop in someone’s home, similar to the way that Esherick used color contrasting warm brown wood,” Janelle notes.

But Esherick’s genius didn’t stop at his bold color choices. His commitment to craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the spiral staircase to the carved furniture. One detail that caught Janelle’s eye was the handmade stainless steel welded bathroom sink—an industrial touch that felt ahead of its time.

Visiting the Wharton Esherick House is like stepping into a living sculpture, a place where design and everyday life are beautifully intertwined. It’s a space that inspires us to think differently about our own homes—to see them as opportunities for self-expression and creativity.
